Out of the World
I was asked to evaluate “Out of this World” for port to the Sega CD by management at Virgin Games and concluded that the game was too short for a port. When asked to prove it I reversed designed the game screen-by-screen and created a flowchart of the game. Virgin Games then flew the two developers over to the US to talk to them about expanding on the game for the Sega CD. When they saw my reverse designs they asked for my designs to take back with them for they didn’t have a paper design for their own game, which wasn’t uncommon at the time.
